The project
Rain over the rooftops of Dhaka. On a lit corner balcony, a couple talk and laugh. A stick is torn, hot water poured, the tea blooms dark in the glass and is handed across the table. First sips, eyes closed. Then the line: চাইলেই চা যখন তখন, tea whenever you want it.
PRAN Tea's 3in1 Rong Cha is red tea in a stick: tear, pour, add hot water. In Bangladesh nothing calls for cha like the first heavy rain of the monsoon.
If the tea takes a moment, the film can spend its time on the people. The rain gives them an afternoon, the balcony gives them a view, and the stick turns making tea into a gesture inside the conversation, not a chore that interrupts it. The camera starts high above a wet city and keeps coming closer: the building, the balcony, the two of them, the cup, the first sip. Their clothes carry the pack's own colours, his red check for Rong Cha red and her blue for the pack's blue, so the brand sits in every frame without a logo in sight.
A 32 second online commercial. The two were designed first as character sheets (front, side and close-up, the same clothes and faces) and held through every shot. The film moves from a drone shot over the rain to a macro of the tea blooming in hot water, and ends on PRAN's four-flavour card.
The rain
It opens high above Dhaka in a monsoon downpour, and finds one warm, lit balcony among the wet rooftops.

Two people
The tea takes a moment, so the film gives its time to them: a conversation, a joke, the kind of afternoon only rain makes.

The cup
Tear, pour, add hot water, and the tea blooms dark in the glass. A cup is handed across the table, then the first sip, eyes closed.
